    Default CID & Avg Consumption?

    Hi guys,

    I've fitted a CD70 and CID in my car which I got for a BARGAIN price of 150 but on the main screen it only displays Range & Ins Consumption. How do I change this to show Avg Consumption instead of inst?

    Cheers
    Jazz.

    OpCom devices aren't discussed on Vectra-C.com, however there are external forums available for that.

    Regarding your display - have you got all the wires in your display connector
    You should not need to reset the display / head-unit every time you start the car.
    You should have
    Pins 1 and 2 are brown - earth
    Pins 3 and 5 are red - permanent live.
    if pins 2 or 3 are not populated, then link them as described (1 to 2 - 3 to 5).

    If you already have BC1 and BC2, then you do not need to change the code index value.
    It would only need to be changed, if the consumption figures are inaccurate.. diesel figures instead of petrol or vice-versa.

    The main BC page will only display Range and Instantanious Consumption. Only the menu pages will display the other values you desire.

    Tech 2 and Op-Com cannot change this.

    I just get a connector from a scrap vehicle,

    then extract the pins from the donor connector with a length of wire, fit the pins to the car's connector, and the solder / sleeve the wire from pin 1 to the wire on pin 2...
    Then do the same for linking pin 3 to pin 5.

    Just check which pins you have...

    Also check / replace your fuses in the passenger end of the dash panel

    Fuses are
    F1 = Head Unit / Infotainment
    F7 and or F9 = BCM
    F10 = CIM module
    F12 = BCM Voltage overload protection
    F17 and F19 = BCM
    F26 = Display / Infotainment

    I know it sounds odd referring to other modules, but they do communicate and therefore have an effect on the infotainment system.

    I don't seem to have any problems with the unit and if what you've said is correct about not getting avg consumption on main screen there's no point complicating the issue further. If it ain't broke done fix it

    Ah - I thought there was an issue because you "Have to reset it everytime I start the car"

    Yep my feelings exactly - If it ain't boke, don't fix it.
