Default Can traction control be retro-fitted?

I've had my signum 1.9cdti (150) for a few months now and, overall, I'm very happy with it but the one thing I'm really not happy with is how keen it is to "spin em up". My old vectra b (v6) had traction control and, though I found myself turning it off at times, I miss it and feel it would improve the way the car drives (and hopefully save my front tires from early retirement).

Was dropped on 06 facelift models, I know of someone who had TC on their 55 plate facelift Vectra.

Is it something that can just be turned on by a garage with correct computer equipment or does it involve adding parts?

ABS module is needed. Along with any required wiring. Car may have the plug behind the switch position but it will still be missing the required wiring.

Oh well, that puts an end to that idea for me then as I wouldn't have a clue where to start with wiring and I certainly can't afford to pay someone to undertake it.

If you're having problems with wheelspin, better quality tyres might be a partial alternative to TC.
