HIDS and MOT as of 04.02.12.

Had my Siggy MOT'd yesterday and whilst it doesn't have HIDS fitted, I asked the tester what his take on HIDS was. To quote what he said and this is his interpretaion:

"If a car comes in with factory fit Xenons, headlamp wash and levellers, then the wash and levellers will be tested and must work.

If a car comes comes in with HIDS, then as long as the beam patterns are correct and not displaying overly blue light, then it's a pass".

This is purely his reading of the new MOT standards but I think we'll find this will vary from garage to garage. Hmmm, might be getting my HIDS afterall .

Mine came this week too,.. will be fitted when my V grill gets coded and the VXR grilles are fitted,.. Can't wait to get back to having HIDs again,.. my mrs loves em!!
