Default Got new tyres on friday

was running a not so legal drivers side tyre but my normal tyre shop never had any 215/50 17s and every where else was wanting over £100 for one so I got two 225/45's for £130 fitted. Federal SS 595's and they appear to have a decent amount of grip in the wet. overall I'm rather suprised at the tyres only time will tell how hard wearing they are

Presumably you've told your insurance company that you have changed tyre sizes? If not and you try to make a claim, this will be classed as an un notified modification, I would have thought. Even more so having different sizes at each end on the same car.

I don't think it's vewied in the same way as the spare is standard equipment which comes with the car for emergency use ?

I ordered tyres from mytyres 2 weeks ago and still word no on them until I make contact with them about 10 mins ago, totally lost confidence in them as they were trying to foop me off with reason that my order was not delivered....

Just called Parcelline who have informed me that the tyres are at their depot and when can I come down to collect them......

First time using them, they are cheap but then again so is their service.

    Tyres that I ordered were Nankang NS-2 215/50 R17.

After having Falkens on the car from new, I thought a wee change was in order as I thought the Falkens were a soft tyre and I have so far been through 6 of them not counting these new ones.....

4 on the front, wear and tear and 2 punctures on the rear.

I've had falkens before and found theem very soft and poor grip in the wet. They wear like hell and seem to get puctures more often than my push bike!!

I've been told that there is a place near me that sells part worns from the continent. Apparently if you have a blow out in some countries the law states that you change all four, so the good ones are bought by this firm. Dont know how true this is, as the info is third hand, but I dont have a problem with part worns so long as the firm is trustworthy.

I've heard similar stories, that even after a minor bump in some countries all tyres are changed regardless of age/condition.
