car wont start? :(

hi all, my vectra 3.2 v6 2003 has been stood for about 7 months now i do start it regually, last time i moved it was begining of jan 12 just been out to start it while we are having this cold spell, took battery out of my regular car which use to be in the vectra and it just clicked so put battery on charge to make sure it had full charge put back in and clicked again sometimes it will go to turn over the engine but after it just starts to turn it will click again.... i have also tryed jumping it off another car and the same happens!! i just dont know what to do so you guys help please,,

ps it did do this when i was using it aswell but turned over and started after like 5th go

Do you have a multimeter? What voltage are you getting at the starter?

Is the battery of the correct ampage?

Sounds like a faulty starter motor, or possible high resistance in the starter motor wiring ( damaged wires)

That's my thinking.

Thinking more dodgy solenoid with it eventually starting

You need to check that the battery u are using is the correct amperage, ie powerful enough to start the car. just because you take a battery from another does not mean it will be the correct amperage to start the car

thanks everyone, still got the issue, i got a battery that was powerfull enough and still clicking!! got to be the starter, i bumped it yesterday and started fine let it run abit turned off then started on the key first time a couple of times go to start this morning click again!!! anyone got a pic were the starter motor is or a how to on removing or checking connections? can see it anywhere
