Default Colour coding chrome v grill

I want to get the chrome v grill done in the same colour as my veccy - black.

Where the hell would I go to get this done and what are the rough costs? Also what is the official vauxhall colour name for my 2008 'black' veccy?

    Cheers all

Most people do it themselves however I guess any body shop would do it for you.

Easy enough to do yourself if you've sprayed before, hardest bit is getting it out without snapping clips! A bodyshop would probs charge anywhere from £30-£60

I think the black is 'Sapphire Black' (or Black Sapphire) but you should be able to find the actual colour code on the label on the driver's door pillar (IIRC).
Can you get a decent finish with rattle cans? I'd love my V-grill to be black, think it sets off the front of the car a treat.

Cheers mate, mine is definitely black sapphire.

Decided I'm gonna have a bash at spraying it myself. Do I new to prime first?

yep, sand it down, 2 - 3 coats of plastic primer, then add your colour then lacquer.

Just to bump this.... I'm having difficulty in choosing what to sand it with. Now I've got next to no experience in sanding stuff down but I've heard people use wet and dry. What's the difference between 400 and 1200? Also, do I need to just sand before I prime or sand again after a few coats of primer? :-/
