Default Diagnostic Adapter Question (Torque Android App)

    Evening all

Has anyone got the Torque App on their Android phone? I'm trying to connect to my Vec (2003 preface 2.2dti), but having issues connecting to the ecu.

The bluetooth adapter powers up when plugged into the Diag socket and will connect to the phone, but it says it cant connect to the ECU.

I get a series of feint clicking noises behind the dash when it's plugged in, but nothing responds from the app.

The adapter is fine as i tested it on my brother's 54 Mondeo and worked first time (jealous too since it showed everything including boost pressure )

    It covers the following protocols:
    ISO15765-4 (CAN)
    ISO14230-4 (KWP2000)
    ISO9141-2
    J1850 VPW
    J1850 PWM

    Am i missing something?

It's not going to bother me that much since i've got an op-com on the way too, and the bluetooth adapter work on other cars, so it'll end up in the toolbox until needed .

Is this the ELM327 Bluetooth adaptor? I don't think they work very well on DTi - like a lot of generic readers.

Yeah, its the ELM327. TBO, i'm not that arsed, would have been nice to get the live info going, but it'll sit nicely in my toolbox until its used to check out codes when i fix/service family and friends cars. So there's no loss there. I have op-com to play with shortly anyhoo
