    Default Will a 2007 2.0t turbo fit a 2004 signum

Hi all, ive just bought a 2004 signum 2.0t with a worn turbo, the only other turbo i can find on flea bay is off a 2007 vectra 2.0t.
Are the engines still the same or did they change them on the facelift models.
Any help would be much appreciated.

On your 2007 the turbo is different to the early 2.0T models and yours will have different (bigger) injectors so I don't know the compatibility of putting the 'older' turbo onto your car.

Your other, and probably better, option is to send yours off to somewhere like Turbo Technics for a refurb. It'll cost around £300 and you know that you're then putting back in the exact same turbo model.

It will fit. Howver you need the oil and water lines with the new turbo and 381cc siemens deka injectors plus a remap to make it all work. It will be about 240bhp and you will enjoy it.

But as Duncan says, a refurb is can be much cheaper and they can turn them around in a day or so..

My turbo technics refurb/slight hybrid was £375 all in and was back with me in like three days - two year warranty also!

merikiito thanx for the number i'll try when i get home
Would love to put the later turbo on and get more power but sounds like it could be expensive and take a while.
accveccysriturbo, when you say slight hybrid, what did they do to it.
How bad was your turbo when it went because ive had a couple of quotes elsewhere and it ranges from £195-600

    Thanx all.

Crikey, is that what the ebay one was? It's only a bit more than that to have it refurbed by Turbo Technics and mine was turned around in a few days, and other guy's too as you can see.

For a refurb? They also do exchange units i.e. you send them yours, they send you the same (refurbed) model back so it's even quicker than refurbing your own one. Obviously you'd check beforehand that they had one of yours in stock at the time. They didn't when I had to send mine in so it was my own one refurbed which was turned around in a few days and they even arranged the collection courier.

My turbo was fine, just the waste gate had come loose which was causing it to lose boost. Was drivable just not as strong as prior.

While it was off I though why not, so I had it fully refurbished, 360 degree thrust bearing, seals done and I forget what else. If it helps I was speaking to Ryan there. I told them i needed it to be capable of holding 1.1-1.2 bar without causing me too many issues long term, and to be fair it was fine. £375 and back with me in three days with free postage. I went for the TT one as it came with a 2 yr warranty, where others were only quoting a year.

If you can stretch to the Mitsubishi model go for that as I have now. It is by far a better turbo and larger than the garret. Appreciate oil and water lines, injectors and remap need to be got but that's gonna set you back about £1200-£1500 from Neo. New turbo with labour is going to cost what £600 - £700. My mech charged me £200 for labour and gaskets when they swapped mine over. You will just future proof your modding

If your car is in standard form, can you not just fit the Mitsubishi turbo and lines and have it run normal power?

When I re insured my car I gave them full details and costs of mods, because the turbo is a genuine VX part they won't hit you hard in the pocket - well they haven't me. Infact my car power has gone up from 212 ish to 240 ish and my insurance came down £50. Happy with that lol.
