    Default Window tint help

    Hi All

    quick question for you experts...

my wife got me windows tints as a Christmas pressie...

However the guy she paid up front was all that good and after 2 trips back, I have got a good finish on the rear window and the 2 side rears. However, the rear quarter lights are a mess.. and his last parting shots were that was the best he could do!

As this was pressie, I cant really moan to much about it.

So here is my question, does anyone know where i can get the tint, (I believe it was 50% Johnstons film that was used) pre-cut so I could redo the rear quarter windows myself?

    Thanks
    Paul.

Not worth the hassle of pre cut ( and extra charge) take about a minute to cut yourself.

Fitting is abit fiddly but as long as spray plenty water on window and film goes on easy enough.

Surprised he messed them up. I found them easiest bit and messed other windows lok

Sounds like he was just in to much of a hurry.
When I had mine done the guy had no problems with the rear quarter windows.

I did them myself on the old jeep I had and it wasnt perfect, but was good enough for me.

To be honest, I probably would have had a go on the vectra as well, but as it was a pressie, I had to say yes lol

I'll maybe have a go at cutting and redoing myself

    Thanks
    Guys

paul i have a fair idea who done these for u, and if so i feel exactly the same. i got my vec c done a few years back at pentagon, a bit expensive but they done a cracker job, now time to get the vec b done, went to a cheeper man who was recomended, will never go back to him as it is full of air bubbles and have had probs with pealing on the back windows,

I've used Pentagon as well - high prices compared to others but top work.

As for fixing the tint on the rear qtr lights, (as I have a Signum not a Vec I'm guessing here) don't the windows unbolt? If so, fitting new film should be much easier if the window is on a bench instead of on the car.
