Hair dryer and sissos cut the corners and folded them not perfect but am happy

Piece o' cake isn't it!
You'll find trimming a bit easier with a craft knife or scalpel, aspecially on curved edges and such

have been looking at it recently trying to work out whether it could suit it?

Nah I ain't mate yer if u don't like chrome do it

Could you spray the chrome a different colour? Maybe tie it in to your brake calipers if you've done them, or something else?
