    Default Vectra vs astra vxr

I have been doing some thinking about trading in my car and getting myself an Astra VXR the thing is i love the Vectra and its looks and think with what i have planned for it it would look so much better than the Astra here is what was happening to the Vectra this year.

    1. Full VXR body kit
    2. Bilstein B12 Kit
    3. Big brakes upgrade
    4. 19" BBS CH alloys (silver)
    5. Custom leather retrim
    6. Remap

All of the above i know will cost a fortune but thats what will make my Vectra perfect for me and it will be different from most Vectra's around where i live.

So my question to you all is what would you do in my position it seems daft spending so much on the car where as i could spend a bit on the Astra VXR on engine upgrades getting it to 300bhp and it would cost less than what i was going to spend on the Vectra

Only you can answer that one mate. Do you want something individual or do you want the performance the astra will give you. If you get your thrills from speed then the Astra if you like being different then do what you want to do to the Vec. The residual value of the Astra would be better though. Would a Vec VXR not suit you?

    Have to agree with Keith.
If it were ME I'd go for 300 horses of fun and keep some cash.
But, if the Vectra with some cash spent on it will make u very a happy person, then....
    Flip a coin lol.

Ive recently been looking at astra vxr, focus st... For when i change towards the end of the year, but as much as id love one, i dont know if i want that "boy racer" image... (Although i probably get that in the vectra)

The other thing to factor in is running costs of the astra compared to the vectra... And i suppose if you got the astra, would you then start adding a big long list of mods to that too? My guess is yes you probably would...

Im with cruize, its a real tricky one so the only rational thing to do is flip a coin

Yes i have to agree 300 horses is what id like i love the feel of power but on the other hand making my Vectra individual to myself appeals too to be honest im swaying with the vectra as i think an Astra VXR is more a boy racer image as im 30 now thats what put me off the type R before i bought the vectra ive already done quite a few upgrades to my car and i know the end of this year it will be a looker when im finished i also know it wont stop as ive been on Neo bros website looking at the 300 bhp remap package so i know this project will cost ££££ but on the other hand its built to how i want her in a way i think ive answered my own question just seems so silly spending this much money

What engine do you have in your current vec?

After youve got the vec looking the way you want it at the end of the year, will you get itchy feet and fancy a change again? How long do you realistically plan on keeping the vec?

But TBH it sounds like youve already made up your own mind
