Default gsi on ebay done a few mods that sound intresting

as title says just been looking on ebay spotted this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-53-VA...item3a6f9c8151

in the description he states a uprated fuel pump and regulator anyone else ever done anything like this on their gsi i thought the uprated regulator was a vectra b thing
if this is also a vectra c thing anyone know if its anygood or is it just for remapped cars only ask as i havent seen any threads about uprating fuel pump and regulator and it was a good thing for the vectra b so might give me a few more bhp in my vectra c

    As Rushy says above.
    My thoughts...
'then it had new cams and the heads had been ported and polished and two new full head gaskets kits fitted but this was all done around 39000 miles as the standard Vectra's loose bhp due to camshaft wear'
As far as I know there aren't any real gains porting/polishing the V6 heads....and as for 'cam shaft wear'... never heard of it on these (changed mine at 100k and old ones were fine).

'and a uprated fuel pump and pressure regulator and the car is happy at 249 Bhp on super unleaded and has been put on rolling road and checked for bore wash the car could be pushed further but would increase the chances of bore wash and i didn't want to take that risk'
I'm pretty sure the fuel pressure is controlled via ecu and possibly could be overcome by using after market management.. but then over fueling/bore wash wouldn't be an issue...as for the the bhp..this could be correct but more than likely over calculated wheel to fly figures.

    Lovely looking car though.

He seems to have spent a lot of money on it in a very short time. Owned it just over a year and spent thousands,.. 4 month old 19" rims, 2 week old cam belt change... and he loves it by the sound of it...... so why is he selling it?!?! .. I wonder!!

well asked him about it to see about the fuel pump and regulator and got this back

    answer off seller
a technician called andrew wilson and his brother matthew from cockermouth in cumbria done most of the work at there rally garage they tried using a 3ltr omega throttle bodies and the vectra b upgrade but was no good so throttle bodies were taken of the opel gts version and modified to use a hks fuel pressure regulator the same set up for the gts supercharged irmsher kit all came from poland the fuel pump was swapped for two fuel pumps out of a vectra 3ltr diesel
