Thread: Do the rockers HAVE to be changed with a new cam shaft on the cdti?

    Thumbs down Do the rockers HAVE to be changed with a new cam shaft on the cdti?

    As above, due to unforseen circumstances I have to fit a new camshaft into my car....do I need to change the rockers?

    they do m8, not the conventional ones you are thinking of m8.

    dont know alot about diesel but if its overhead cam does he mean the followers

    yip followers but i'm sure there is literature somewhere that calls the rockers although they are followers.

    but i did read somewhere that if timing belt snaps it brakes the rockers to protect valves
