Yeah still got the st mate
I believe the engine is good for 320 with just a map mate. Its the same lump they use in the Opel GT. However, you cant hide tuning on the Insignias ECU so warranty work can be very difficult I'd imagine.
Cheers rushy, it's an 09 plate so I'm sure the warranty will expire soon
U got a link ray
Regal claim to be able to remap it to just over 300bhp. Even standard it's no slouch.
The 4x4 really does stick to the road like glue. Sport mode on the FlexRide stiffens the steering/suspension & shoves more drive to the rear wheels. Definitely a lot of fun to drive! I love mine to bits.
The downside is fuel consumption. Expect 18-20 around town, 28 on a steady "mixed road" run & 32 on motorways.
Try & get one with parking sensors if you can - the nose is longer than you think & rear visibility is poor.
The most common fault is scored brake discs. Vx will only replace under warranty up to 20k miles but the supplying dealer should replace them if needed.
Heated seats are another common fault - they turn themselves off after about a minute. Also look for corroded chrome on the exhaust tailpipes & split leather next to the drivers seat adjustment buttons. Vx will sort all of that out.
I asked the question a while back Ray, seriously heavy on the juice according to owners(high teen to very low 20's conbined) also more importantly, Dez mentioned serious problems with the haldex system on them...stear clear unless its warrantied was his advice at the time..
