    Default I've gone carbon crazy!

Following on from my earlier thread, i've gone a bit nuts with the Carbon Fibre vinyl

Started with my mobile (to get the hang of it), then the interior door handles, then the steering wheel spoke covers. Then started on the ashtray cover, gear surround, then the lighter socket, then my key

    Few pics of my attempts

The bottom one is easy, the other two are a PITA, and you need a T20 torx bit to remove the screws from the covers (accessed from the rear of the steering wheel). To remove the airbag without annoying the neighbors, remove fuse 3 from the engine bay fusebox. That'll silence the horn

Steering controls have 1 toes screw holding them from behind the steering wheel, think its a torx20 bit you need looks like A good job mate I've done my steering controls, gear surround and ashtray/12v socket the same but done my handles gloss black, going to do my dash trims at some point

I didn't remove the air bag, just undo the screws(turn the steering wheel to access them easier) and just pull em off? Unless its different on the preface?

Nope, you need to remove it otherwise you are going to have a lot of issues putting the controls back into the connectors. Lot easier with the airbag removed

Ahh I had no issue with mine but mines the facelift, I just removed the screw at the back and pulled the controls off as they sit in a rubber. It which holds them nicely and then just unplugged the controls
