What did you use to clean the egr and sensor? Thinking about doing mine today, how long did it take you?

Use carb cleaner just spray on the boost sensor do not scrub as there a small wire in it as for the egr spray and scrub it with a small tooth brush

Boost sensor is easy like wayne said just give it a spray but don't scrub. I removed my EGR and left it soaking overnight in carb cleaner (depends how dirty it is) doing that uses a lot of carb cleaner but does get it clean or you could use petrol that cleans things well (so i've been told)

Did mine Friday, complete strip down of the EGR as per "how to" because the car was getting sluggish.

Managed somehow to put it back together wrongly, the plunger and spring bit in the plastic casing. It was worse on a test drive afterwards.

So strip down 2 revealed as mentioned above what I had done wrong. Also cleaned the boost sensor afterwards (with Gunk)

Now what a difference, better than it's ever been. And after a 300m round M/way journey today it's doing 55mpg. Could have been better but I was enjoying the speed rather than the economy.
