    Default Parrot MKI Series

I'm thinking about having a some form of parrot mki. Im not so much bothered about the handsfree business, but i want to be able to play my ipod, but I don't want to lose my CD70 Navi (pre MY2007).
It doesn't have to be the most modern one, I just want the facility. I just wondered if anyone who has one, has any opinions on it, ie what's the sound quality is like whilst playing the iPod etc. cheers

i have the MkI9200 fitted to my CD30.

not cheap at £200 fitted but what a top bit of kit,. sound quality is good, handfree is great espeically with the wireless controller, added to the seperate removalable display.

Thanks. It's the 9200 I've been looking at, but like you say, it's not cheap. Does the iPod come through all the speakers? I know with some hands free kits only come through the front speakers. Is the sound quality comparable to having a cd on?

The sound does come out of all four speakers ... You cannot adjust the balance or fader though..l but I've never had any complaints about the sound from any passengers in the back though

had one in mine before factory bluetooth fitted. It really is an excellent bit of kit if you want both handsfree and ipod use. Only removed mine as i wanted it for handsfree at the time but removed when UPH was fitted.

One thing i did to keep it inbotrusive was to run the connection for the srceen into the ashtry, then mount the bracket on the inside of the ashtray lid. Totally hidden when not in use, pop open the ashtray, slot the screen on and it worked a charm.

You'll have great fun playing with it Ian... Btw you know you can change the screen to have a logo of your choice? We'll wait patiently for a piccy with an Opel badge!!
