Luton Vauxhall Heritage meet Sat 5th May
Hi everyone - sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately this meet has now been cancelled - please see statement from Vauxhall PR below
Protest in Luton, Assembly and March – English Defence League/We Are Luton
May 5th 2012
Vauxhall has taken advice from the local authority, the local Police force and its own security team with regard to the March on Saturday May 5th and confirms that The Vauxhall Owners Club meeting at the Vauxhall Heritage Centre in Park Street will be postponed to a future date.
Vauxhall regrets the need to take this decision but does so for the security and safety of its visitors and employees.
A new date will be published as soon as possible.

I am truley sorry everyone - we were aware of the planned march but further details have only been announced by Luton Council & Beds Police recently regarding the fact that the EDL will be permitted to protest in Park Street so as not to disrupt the town centre. I am gutted to be honest as a lot of hard work & effort had gone in by a number of people

I have now heard back from Andy, the RO on VVOC - he has now confirmed Saturday 5th May from 9am (I would imagine they will meet at the retail park and convoy in again like last year) - unfortunately the Heritage Centre guys weren't available on the original date.
He suggested that we have some trophies specifically voted for by us & then for each other so that Vec-C are guaranteed a winner - he was suggesting things like best mod, best car etc., but I said for now maybe we start with Best VVOC member's car as voted for by Vectra-C.com and Best Vectra-C.com member's car as voted by VVOC which he liked the sound of.
Vxronline and the Corsa/d clubs have also been invited, but they will be assembled on the other carpark, those of you that attended last year will know I mean.
