Default Should it stay or should it go?

I currently have an 09 plate 1.9 Sri cdti 150 with 48k miles on it A few years ago I had a 55 plate 1.9 Sri cdti & had to have the DMF & clutch replaced under warranty at 33k miles just before the car was 3 years old. My current Vectra is now the same age & I'm paranoid of having the same bother. Although there's nothing to suggest any bother with my current Vectra it's been on my mind for some time now.
I've been looking around & I've found a 60 plate Astra VXR for a good price. I'm seriously tempted to go for this even though i'll only get between £4.5k & £5k for a trade in for my Vectra!
I don't know weither to go for this or not. Help me decide please.

Whs. I'd keep it. Think you were just unlucky if your first clutch went at 33k.... Unless you really fancy a bit of vxr of course and who wouldn't....

lol 2 posts on this it seems :
So really your looking about out of paranoia? I know the feeling. Its like when buying a car, your always listening to every creek and knock worried something is going wrong, after a while you settle down and you know when somethings wrong because you know ur car.
If there are no symptoms i'd stop worrying mate and enjoy it

Take a warranty out (warranty direct) will cover such items. My old 08 which I've just given to my partner has 83,000 on the clock and still running as new so I don't think there's anything to worry about.
Another point is you would get more than £4.5k to £5k for your Vec on trade in,.. more likely £6500 possibly £7000.... 08 and 58 plates are fetching as low as £8000,.. seen quite a lot around the £8500 to £9000

Not so sure that trade-in you would get much more than what's being said, I am looking at Vectra's at the moment and standard SRi's at the higher end of the price bracket aren't really shifting, for example there has been a 09 one near me that's been for sale for nearly 12 months at a garage (sold just last week) it started at £9495, the last window price was £6995, so about £5K is about right for a trade price IMO.

I was offered £4600 for my 08 with 83k on the clock, and decided to trade my partners 55 plate Avensis T4 D4D in with 105k on the clock and got £3000 for that against the same car.
They work on roughly a £1000 to £1500 profit line

My 57 plate 150 is on 110K and as far as I know it's on the original DMF and clutch - it's all about how you drive it...
