    Driving slower might help?

I'd say get the fault codes read and go from there, otherwise we're looking for a needle in a haystack

Start with the simple stuff first. Check all of your vacumm pipe work for splits. I changed mine for silicone pipe from the bay of e. It was only six pound for 3 meters of the stuff. (enough to do the lot).

Clean your egr valve, upper + lower inlet manifold + boost sensor.

Im also suffering similar problems in 2.0DTI. so far have tried all the obvious and have replaced various hoses/clamps, leak offs and vacuum hoses...

Im now onto replacing the boost sensor.

I have been advised lengthening the actuator rod can clear the spanner light in this instance however will provide less boost (apparantly unnoticeable) however i shortened mine and found 55mpg so decided id rather find the actual cause of the problem.

Cheers lads i will check all of the above. And just for the recorded,no i do not have a private race track or drive like an idiot. I do however drive 100miles a day to work on motorways and open roads in the early hours where there are alot of slow fish vans that i overtake. Surely cant be the only one to overtake slow traffic or do 90 to 100mph on the motorway if im runnin a bit late.
