Default Steinbauer tuning box and the 1.9 Cdti

Has anyone tried a steinbauer box on their 150 or knows someone who has?

I was very impressed with the one I had fitted to my dti and wanted to see if the cdti will respond the same way

Is it not helluva expensive compared to others?

I tried everything on my CDTi, my experience is that remap is best..but a box is good if your struggling for cash.

Tell you what i liked about the box Steven, it was the fact I could turn it off if I wanted and the steinbauer is "nearly" as good as a remap, it doesn't increase fuel pressure it simply alters injector timing

Thought the 2.2 couldn't be mapped, or struggled to get mapped, hence the steinbauer reliance? If its a huge influence turning the map/box off, why not go for EDS IPF, BSR or Blufin, then you can turn it back to standard on the press off a button?

Things have moved on alot since i had my CDTi, but mine was used and abused to test setting/boxes etc so i have a fair bit of experience, Gazza and Ray had great results from their cheapish remap...
