    Default anyone help ?

    Hey all just signed up and thought i would try and sort something out , the missus has smashed up the front bumper , and i was wondering if there is anyone on here who could repair this for cheap , ive been told by most body shops to buy a new bumper but tbh i think its repairable , just as we was gonna start chucling money at it she decides to knock it lol anyway heres a couple of images of the damage any advice would be great thanks

    It's repairable with aluminium mesh, fibreglass and then filler. As long as the split lines up nicely with each other you could do a good job, but it will split again. Hence why the shop is advising you to just get a new bumper.
    If you do a scrappy search I'd bet there's one in that colour somewhere in the country for less than £50.

    The crack re-aligns perfect mate , thats why i thought could just fibre glass it and a skim of filler , then just a re-spray , an ill do it now see what comes up , i got told a good vauxhall breakers round birmingham but cant think of the name , thanks for the reply

    For the amount of time to repair/ prime/ paint and it will crack again try and get one from a scrappy and get it painted to match. it will look alot better and wont crack and have to be repaired again/replaced get a seccond hand one paint once job done m8.

    Think thats the best to do mate , just been looking up some breaker yards around birmgham area , got a few numbers gonna give them a call tomoz , be a bonus if i can get a black one , ive been quoted 160 to get it sprayed , i do body repair and paint at college , but i aint got the gear at home yet to do it else i would of done it myself , thanks for the replys lads
