    Default Z20NET Airbox

Just done airbox mod on my z20net but found the airbox to have broken clips and seized rusty screws where the two halfs join. There are none on ebay that I can see for my specific engine however there are a couple on there for the 2.2, are they the same? They look very similar. Thanks.

Can you find the part number on it and then go and check the part number for the other car?

There is another posting somewhere on here that links you do the actual part numbers.

The 2.2's is different - it has no turbo, remember, and as both of these engine have the throttle body at the front, the 2.2's airbox directs the air to the front of the engine, whereas the 2.0's sends it to the back where the turbo is, before it's then piped under the engine and to the front.

Ok thanks for that. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled and add it to the long list of bits I need in the meantime. If anyone knows of edition100 being broken up then please let me know!!

That's the part number for the Z20NET only, EPC makes no mention of the 2.2 for that number.

How would you get the MAF pipe to go to the front of the engine on the 2.2 if the 2.0 air box has the pipe going to the back?

The base of all air boxes are the same except the VXR, its only the lids that are different. If your screws are spinning then you only need the base, and as said there all the same part number except the VXR.

Sorry, just to carify. You'll only need to replace the bottom half of your airbox and as Rushy says, the 2.2 airbox will be fine for that.

Unfortunately the screws do rust, if you can't remove them then as Rebellion says, the 2.2 box will not do.
