just replace the turbo, or better still upgrade it with a TD04L14T and a remap.. I have one spare

you can get the turbo refurbed in about 48 hours from some places..

i think a refurb costs about 300 but don't quote me on that, try calling a few like Turbo Technics or CRTurbos. you can by a used td04 (a stronger turbo) for the same if not less..

The TD04 will require the additions of new oil and water lines but seeing as your taking the turbo off anyway its an easy job. oil and water line kits cost about 60 - 80 quid.

it depends on the tuner but 240bhp is expected but I forgot to mention you will need to up your fuel injectors from your current blue 261cc to green 381cc jobs, they cost about about £100-120 for a set. They are also easy enough to fit and I can send you a how2 (incomplete but does the job) if you wanted to go this route..

you can use a different tuner, it would be cheaper, these guys are approved by this forum and are widely used, they can come to you as well..

Speaking from experience when my garret went (wastegate came loose) I sent it to Turbo technics for a full refurb and 360 thrust bearing. Cost me £375 and came with a two year warranty.

I now have the TD04 uprated unit and I would if I were you spend the little extra and have this unit (can get for about £350 new) and then remap and injectors from neo brothers.
