    Default Brake upgrades

Looking to upgrade the brakes on my 06 1.9cdti .. Seen a few auctions on ebay and was just wondering if I could use either..

The first is the front brakes (calipers with carriers) from an 08 vxr.. I know disc size wise they will fit, but would I need special carriers?

The other option is the brakes from an 04 3.2 v6.. Would these fit with being from a pre facelift?

Yes they should all fit as long as you have big enough wheels. I know someone with the vxr brakes under a 17" wheel....

For either conversion you need the brake discs, pads, claipers and caliper carriers....

Yeah, I knew I could get them under my alloys.. Just wondered if I needed special carriers. Didn't think I did, but best to check! But as long as the prefacelift (04) set will definitely fit im tempted by them because it's front and rear brakes as opposed to just the front with the vxr lot.. Decisions decisions!

The only thing with Vxr brakes is price of the discs......
Set of genuine pads / discs will set u just over 200 quid and
very few ppl do them in aftermarket ( pagid, mintex etc )
Also would reccomend some updated brake hoses.......

I didn't pay far off that for a complete set of drilled and grooved discs front and rear and yellow stuff pads all round for my VXr. They are not as expensive as some may think.

    Hi fella

Give Olly or Ryan a call at CRN Products and tell them you got their number from Andy with the Vectra VXR. They'll sort you a deal out.
