Default How often do you just go for a drive?

This is an important part of my life.

Last year i did 30k in my veccy, and still went for a drive at least 4-5 times a week, that is, going out with no other purpose than to drive the car and enjoy it.

Now i have my pug derv as a daily driver, i do many less miles in the veccy, but i still purposely go for a drive 3-4 times a week, i work 80+ hours a week so i really have to make time, sometimes late at night.

I absolutely love every second in my vectra, and after 18 months of ownership i always take time out of my week to just enjoy it, and when i'm not in it i'm thinking about being in it lol. I love the speed, and the sound, and how it turns every head, but even if i was in my pug derv, i'd still love to get away, put some good tunes on, and drive a favourite stretch of road in the region, just to clear my head and get away from it all. Am i the only one?

How often do you just drive in your veccy or siggy or other? Any non-functional driving counts, not necessarily a special trip, even a long de-tour on the way home.

It'll be interesting to find out in this poll whether the family and kids have triumphed at being spare-time vampires lol.

Thanks for reading, keep enjoying your veccys/siggys, they are brilliant! (sometimes)

I Used to do this alot when i was 18/19, but dont really have the time now

Also the cost of petrol puts alot of people off to, think most of us can't really afford to just 'go for a drive'

bit of a shame really, but just think of all the polar bears were saving by keeping those C02 emmisions down

I used to do this all the time when I was younger and had a car that you could really drive and throw around back country lanes, now anymore however, plus a Vec c really isnt any good at that sort of thing.

I dont really mean to rag the nuts off it, i hardly ever do that, if ever, partly because i know the vec c don't really do corners lol, i'd rather cruise to a picturesque spot with my heated leather on and chill out, its what you make ofit really, i'm sure everybody has their own way of enjoying and getting the best out their car

I pop over the border to North Yorkshire Menwith Hill area (Peelmeister will know it well,) when I go out for a spin in the Vec, superb twisty roads, my own tunes and know one else in the car but me.
