is it normal to have a bit of crud for lack of a better word, under the oil filler cap, the water bottle is fine, read somewhere that it is normal to have this condinsation etc, but i cleaned the cap yesterday and today i see some, seems to be running ok, its due a oil change, temp sits about 88-90 should i be worried. 2.2 sri direct

its sheared of level i cant get any grip on it, i have heard you can get a stud extractor, drill a pilot hole then use the extractor, is this right.

my 2.2 is the same, lots of short journeys, fitted a oil catch tank because of the amount of crud comming out of the rocker box breather and going down into the throttle body, did not take long to fill with water and slime.

Yes mate, its a tapered thread that goes the oposite way, as you screw it in anti clockwise it eventually locks and the stud should then start to come out. Get plenty of WD40 in the first, a bit of heat around the stud should help as well.

Any details on the catch tank? I have cleaned throttle body on mine which was really gunned up and car running much smoother and picks up cleaner but sure it will return and fancy avoiding too much crap in the inlet manifold.

    Cheers

Blank the EGR, that will sort your TB problem and look after your swirl flaps.
