    Default drive belt tensioner

there is an awful noise coming from the side of the engine on my 1.9 cdti where the cam belt is,i thought it was the water pump at first but had that and a new cambelt kit fitted, but after reading a few posts i have come across a few that say it could be the drive belt tensioner the garage said it needed a new fan belt is the drive belt the same as a fan belt ?? also is this the correct part second one down

Your garage needs to learn some simple terms. A fan belt drives the cooling fan of a car, most cars (including the Vec C/Signum) have electric cooling fans fitted nowadays.

The belt they are referring to is the Auxilliary or drive belt.

Can't see the tensioner you've linked though sorry, what is the part number they give?
