Is this a recognised breed with the kennel club? Otherwise its a mongrel!

Friend of mine paid over £400 for a Cavalier Lapsu cross........

Sorry if it sounds snobbish, but I think dog breeders are just trying it on.

I would say be very careful. Cav' king charles as a breed (like most breeds) can have very bad health problems. One of the main ones being a disorder of the brain and spinal cord, worst case this could lead to paralysis. As for pugs they can have problems with their eyes amongst other things.
Can you see the parents and are they registered with the KC?
Typically mixing of the breeds isnt such a good thing. If you could guarantee you get the good bits from both breeds it wouldnt be so bad, unfortunatly this isnt the case.

My wife and I have 5 chihuahuas, a couple of which she shows and we will be off to Crufts with a couple of them in a few months. Chi's have their problems with the breed also like I said above, but mixing two breeds isnt really good.

    Look at http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/

What ever dog you get and what breed the sire or dam are wont make you love the dog anyless, only thinking of potential problems down the line.

This is just my opinion, hope it helps or just food for thought
