    Default Smoky exhaust

Well as I have mentioned before my vec has been suffering a lot of black smoke these last few months and was unable to find out why

With the box off it seemed ok maybe a bit sooty but not much , however with it on everytime I put my foot down there was a black fog filling the road behind me , I thought maybe the particulate filter was not working at first
But after reading up on them this seemed unlikely, I tried my box on a mates car and it didn't smoke at all so I thought box must be ok

The car has been main dealer serviced once up to now at 23k(variable service indicater on mine) now mileage is at 40k I did check at first service wether the air filter had been changed but it had not vx say not till second service for filter , so i bought a new on from local car shop £10 it cost fitted it and now the smoke has all but gone(its a company car and they will not pay for filter till service light comes on cheap ba**ards)

But well pleased that it has stopped smoking that badly

You know it always looks worse in the mirror dont you? I had a Derv that when floored in the mirror it looked serious, but i followed it in a mates car and all i could see was a thin stream of exhaust coming out of it, anyway ain't it gr8 to smother the car behind anyway?
