Tunit at Chorley, make a top-class tuning box with a guarantee against engine damage. They sell world-wide and have agents in various parts of the U.K. and come highly recommended - they are driver-adjustable over a 9 positions.
I bought one of their boxes on eBay recently for £120 (they are topside of £400 new) and Tunit were going to remap it for my Signum V6 3.0 (z) for £140 together with new cables and plugs.
I am only half an hour from their premises and took it there last week. Unfortunately, it was found impossible to remove the plug into which their gizmo should have fit. However, they may still have my unit which was re-mapped and wired before the attempted fitting and it was going to go onto eBay with factory warranty and mapping for the buyer's car. Give them a ring or look on their web site for further info.
Only really two propper options for the DTi, A steinbauer tuning box or an EDS remap
Thanks. Just downloaded Steinbauer fitting instructions for the 3.0 CDTi V6 and I can see how that works as opposed to the Tunit system which plugs into the end of the common rail, whereas the Steinbauer intercepts each individual injector.
So, quite a different job. Still saving my pennies - nearly there !!

With respect, suggest you check Steinbauer website.
thanks all.
I got the same 2.2 engine and find it pretty slow and disappointed
I had a tuning box on my old Audi A4 diesel and they are pretty good
my only concern is my car has done 120k and im not sure if I want to add the extra power incase the turbo lets go
I did read they dont actually increase boost. Is this true? As the engine could easily take the 25bhp increase but if this is gained like most maps by boosting the turbo up loads then the extra load on a old used turbo may end up in £££££
Any body know if it adds boost pressure?
