    Question Retrofit TC and ESP

Has anybody ever retrofitted the factory TC and ESP? Surely if you have the wiring in the dash for the switch some of what is needed is already there..

Will swapping the ABS module to one with TC and installing the Yaw sensor then a quick activation with tech2 or some other software do it? Surely there can't be much to this..

I am not going to do this on my signum as that had it when it left the factory. I am thinking of doing this to the wifes 55 plate vec 1.8 exclusive (non vvt).

I think if you have the plug all you have to do is run a wire between it and the ABS module. I believe if you don't have the plug at all then the car doesn't have TC.

tc would be easy enough to retro fit but

esp youve got extra pipes etc that run alongside the brake pipes

i wanted to do this to my IS3 but after looking into it then it seemed to be
too much involved but however im sure i cud retro fit esp if i put me mind to
    it

hmmmm I will start off by comparing the vec abs module to the one on my signum to see if its the same.. If it is I will see if i can see it in opcom and if so try and activate it.. If it isn't i will price it up and see if its worth doing, I have seen them on the bay of E at reasonable prices over the last year..

the ESP may be more complicated to retrofit than i thought so will do a comparison on that to see if i can see what is extra etc

I have found a retrofit guide for this, although 1 glitch, its in german.I'm Dutch and although both languages look quite similar, i suck in reading it. But maybe somebody can translate it to proper English.

Here is the link, but you have to be a registered user to see it.

Well I've got a 56 cdti no tc. I know someone with tech he said get the abs/tc module out a pre face lift and make sure it has tc on. My only problem is everyone on eBay don't tech2 them from the car.

does a used module need to be tech2'd from a car before it can be installed in another then..? I guess it needs the vin changing in it like a used airbag ecu does to make it work properly.. keep the info coming guys..

I have seen new modules around the bay on occasion..
