    The stat for the 1.8 can be got for less than a tenner and you absolutely do not need to replace the housing with it.

    The part no on the thermostat itself is the same as what is quoted for the whole unit ie 2442 0728
    This also applies to the 2.0 DTi ,s as well same part no
    Driving vauxhall,s for 30 + years
    and still loving it
