Signum 2.0T (2003)

Here goes.......

I used to drive a Astra G 1.8 SRi (3 door), loved that car, but the arrival of my Son, Toby in 2010 ment that it had to go and something a little more practical. I wasn't sure what to get, I was actually swaying to an Astra Estate (I used to own a Astra MK3 estate).

I was my Sister-in-law suggested a Signum as she'd seen one locally, and thought it looked ideal.

Once I decided that's what I wanted I narrowed down the options by deciding I only wanted a Black one, and wanted a dark interior, the search was on. I found my Signum on Autotrader, it was near York (Malton) at an Used Car garage.

I arranged to go up to see it......

This is what I found when I got there. (without the SOLD sign)




I was left by the salesmen to have a look around it. Did a Diagnostic Check and took it out for a test drive.

Had a few niggles, but nothing major, no smoke on start up and a small list of bit to do was taken away by the garage.

The deal was struck and date arranged to pick it up.

The day after picking it up I started taking it to bits.

As the Signum was alot longer than my old Astra G, I'd already decided that Rear parking sensors were a good idea, and had a set of eBay specials waiting to be fitted. So for the first full day I owned it, it looked a little stripped for part of it.

No that picture was taken when I was having the security upgraded. The TVR is the fitters car, i've known him for 15 years. It's had a full strip down/rebuild and it meticulous.
