Default Has anyone removed fogs to have cold air feeds?

I am having my bumper re-sprayed in feb/march and I am thinking of getting rid of the fogs and running 2 cold air feeds from the fog cut outs, not 100% tho

    Has anyone done this before?

Cold air feeds to what? If it's the airbox, it's a long way from the n/s foglight.

Cold in the winter, hot in the summer
The air intake is shielded behind the grille
The radiator is partially shielded behind the bumper
The car is designed to take both air flows into account

I can see a temporary advantage if your engine is overheating, but that issue needs to be investigated and resolved
Otherwise you really want to do the opposite and reduce the air flow, as this causes the turbulent air in front of the car to slow down as it has no exit route, and in turn increases MPG (but this change will be less than 0.1% so hardly noticeable)

The only benefit would be for brake cooling. That's if you're running uprated brakes, and/or track days.

There is a much better kit for this, that channels unused air from underneath the car to the back of the discs which is then expelled to the outside
The cars with larger discs already have these fitted and are fitted to the underside of the horizontal suspension arms

Agreed, they are useful to have in certain conditions
I've not used mine a lot, but used at night in snow, at night in heavy rain, and during extreme fog

I thought about it when a badger broke my drivers side fog. I know they do it a lot on MX-5s. Couldn't be bothered in the end and am picking up a new fog unit this weekend
