    Default Vauxhall virgin

    Hi guys. Newbie from Derby. Just bought a 2008 Vectra 1.8 vvt SRI in black. Finally got rid of my heap of s**t Citroen C4, although the HDI engine was very good. This is my first Vauxhall and I've heard the vectra is a solid car. The 1.8 was the best choice for me between economy and price, as I only do around 3k miles a yr now I couldn't justify spending the extra on the diesel.

    Anyways thanks in advance to any questions I have, to which there are many

    Welcome Mary/Martin & ROLF.
    I dunno about the 1.8 petrol (plenty on here do) but doing 3000 miles a year, and with all the stuff in the news about DPFs I think you made the right choice getting a petrol against a diesel.

    Enjoy - and ignore the Clarksons of this world. The Veccy is a good solid car.
