Default New DMF & clutch fitted

Just picked the car after having new sachs flywheel & clutch fitted and it's just transformed the car.

There is no rumbling \ vibrating at all when the car is stationery. Took it on the motorway for a spin and the road noise is a hell of a lot less too.

I'm absolutely delighted to say the least and pleased I decided to get it done now rather than waiting any longer.

It was a garage in Pontefract, would highly reccomend them. Very professional clean outfit.

Cost £800 all in and thats for a sachs DMF and LUK clutch.

They did my Dad's car last year and fitted a solid flywheel conversion to his 307 hence me using them.

Another thing I've noticed is that the car starts a lot easier too. I did suspect the battery may of been on its way out but the failing DMF was causing too much friction by the sounds of it

Today was the first day I have used the car for a long drive since having the new clutch and DMF fitted and the difference is amazing.

Also noticed that I'm getting roughly an extra 10mpg which is nice! I'm now getting high 50's early 60's. Normally a tank lasts me about 570 miles so I should be well over the 600 mile mark now

should aways start with the clutch in anyway as it takes the strain off everything.

£800 seems steep though as a good place I used said they do the 1.9s for 650 all in.

glad the results are so dramatic thoguh!!!1 mine was a similar story!!!

I could of got in done for £600 but these guys had been reccomended to my Dad by a good friend and they did a great job on his car plus its local.

I paid the extra for peace of mind knowing I would get the same level of service. They did initially want £900 but managed to get a bit off

Also, I have always started the car with clutch in
