    Default Upper inlet manifold bolts

So just spent most of today searching for the 4 bolts that are to be replaced when you take the manifold off according to the haynes manual, question is do they "have" to be replaced as 4 different dealers and VX themselves aint got any in stock and are on back order. Really want to get it all cleaned up as did the EGR and air intake, wednesday just gone.

Some bolts are considered to be "Stretch Bolts" and should be replaced as they should only be used once. It is possible that 4 bolts you are referring to are stretch bolts?

Don't worry about it. Ive had mine off and put back on 2 or 3 times and never changed the bolts. In my opinion the threads will strip before the bolts stretch. They dont get torque'd up very tight anyway. I'm not sure what the setting is though but its not very high.

I will have to reuse the existing bolts, as I cannot source new ones. Will have to clean it after baby is born as I want to sit it in petrol overnight and give upper and lower a good soaking.
