eibach
Yup eibach mate. Well proven on here. You can buy them from lmfvauxhall
Eibach's all the way...
Best deal I go was buying from DemonTweeks on fleebay (eBay)...
Great drop, no loss of ride comfort (although you will know if you hit a pothole so I guess from that point there is a loss of ride comfort ) and much imporved handeling...
I have been using them for years in different vauxhalls i have owned and while they cost a bit more they have never failed me yet....!
888 racing used VXR shocks with Eibach proline springs when they released the 888 astra H for example as they were the best they could get. I am sure thornly also use these as springs of choice!
I want to have it quite low but not touching the ground. I have standard Sri springs so what do you think I should drop it to? Any pics?

Standard SRI springs are 15mm lower than normal. Eibachs will give you an extra 15mm drop... Doesnt sound like much but is very noticable when on and settled (takes the springs a few days / weeks to settle to their rest hight)
Derv engines also often see a slight nose down effect ont he springs as the lump is heavier.
Any lower than that and you will need to go for coil overs IMO as the standard shocks would not be up for the job...
here is a few pics of mine before and after...
And right after being fitted (still to settle). It has sinced droped even lower and makes a hell of a difference...
Did you do them your self?

Yep... Me and my mate did it...
Very easy to do when you have the tools... Namley spring clamps and a cordless impact wrench...
All in it took a few hours to swap them out which in the cold snow was a long time lol...
If your thinking of doing it then make sure you plan it ahead, have the tools needed (a good set of spanners, sockets, wrenches etc and lubricate everything up before with penatrating spray etc to help get the bits out...
use these bits for the axle stands on the front and when taking the bolts out use a trolly jack to gently supprt the hubs taking the presure off the bolts making it easy to take them out.
Its dirty work but well worth doing for the satisfaction of doing the work...
Also a great opertunity to swap out drop linls, strut top bushes etc as these parts tend to fail and involve stripping down these bits mostly to swap them out...
There are some great guides in the how to section on the site which I used...
