removal of vx locking wheel nuts

clever me forgot to remove the key from my wheel, and drove off grrrr. been down the road where it possibly fell off, but cant find it.

i havnt got the card that came with the key so cant order a replacement!!

any ideas how to remove?

Go to dealer they carry spares and then shud be able to order new one

my local stealer said they dont carry spares and that i would need to let them have the car and they may be able to remove them, but wouldnt give me an exact cost apart from saying at least 1 hour

apart from hammering a socket over the top of each one in the hope that it bites enough to loosen it off and wrecking the socket i dont think you have much choice tbh mate

tried the socket method but realised the vx nuts have a spinning collar on them.

go to a mechanic that has welding equipment, i removed a set a few months back by welding an old wheel bolt to them.

try another dealer. PM incoming

Local body shop should be able to remove them they cut the spinning collar off and then hammer socket on.

Cost ya about 30 quid for all 4

I would stand up in court and say any dealer who hasn't got a set of locking wheel nut keys for their own franchise marque a liar!

Go elsewhere....

or at least try some of the sales cars keys just to get your wheels off.
