Door Lock Problems

Well yesterday my poor vectra decided to play electrical games with me . When the door was shut the dash warning was saying it was open etc.

So had a scan around on the Vectra sites and vauxhall sites and found out it was the latch that is at fault..

So thought ill take door card off to see if can see any problems, but to no luck.. so unpluged the latch left for bit then replugged back in no luck.. unplugged door connector left for bit then replugged back in no luck again..

So gone through everything i know and did alsorts but to no luck so had to order a door latch for me car yesterday hopefully be here tomorrow so can get it on cuz the beeping is driving me mad!!

The slam plate, part on the B pillar, probably just needs adjusted,. Doubt it needs a new latch.

tried this, and even operating the latch with a screw driver the warning is still on.. and spoke to Vauxhall localy and they confirm i need new latch.

Has anybody changed one before? Whats needed to be done to remove it because from what i can see the window reg sits in the way to remove the latch

Is it the latch or a break in the wire to the latch? Does the interior light come on when you open the door?

The interior light stays on constant even with door shut and dash door warning light stays on.

If the wire was broken, the door would never register as open (i know as I have this problem on one of my rear doors!)
