It's all a bit fuzzy this crystal ball, you better just take it in and find out for yourself.

i take it your motor has the dial for headlight adjustment, o/s by cash tray,
    if your worried lower settings,
as for the headlight mount, well its a failure if they spot it, but for peace of mind , whip some glue over it to hold it just for now, if it dont move they wont fail it lol,
good luck with the mot though, alllways daunting

Is this on your 3.0 V6 CDTI ?
When you did the service, did you also carry out checks on the steering, suspension, etc?

I'll go for a pass with four advisories, possibly :
    Front suspension and/or steering
One tyre with nail (or similar)
    Excessive corrosion on exhaust system

Isn't the tester supposed to set position 0 ?

If i was the tester i would On tests before, the tester has just sorted it and passed it.

I'm not sure really what to look for RE: suspension/ steering etc. but everything seems ok. Bizarrely enough there's not too many bad sounds coming from the wheels. The odd creak from the ARB bushes when it's damp and a few other creaks.

mine failed this week... (04 plate 1.8LS on 84k)
Exhaust hanger failed (needed welding) front o/s spring snapped.

also got the discs and pads changed at the front as they were an advisory last year, and this year!

£300 the lot - so not too bad, i guess...?

Incidentally - still had 6k HIDS in and tester checked beam with the 'lens on a trolley' thing in front of the car... passed no problems... (without headlamp washers, levelling gizmo's etc etc)
