Does your car really have Goodyear Excellence?
Do you really need to use XL tyres?
Note that Camskill are currently out of stock of Excellence 225/45R17 XL (as well as many other tyres at the moment)

Also, there is a massive difference between the above at £92 and the Kumho at £64
Not willing to consider something in between?

If your budget is £90 then also look at :
    Uniroyal Rainsport 2
    Toyo T1R
Goodyear Asymmetric 2 (also currently out of stock)

I was using the Goodyear Asymmetric from 2008 to 2011, however it is now discontinued
For the same money I am now using Michelin latest tyre

yes it has goodyear Excellence 215 50 17 on it and they were not to bad but now they are slipping and sliding all over the place their about 1mm more than the indecator bar

tbh never noticed i ordered xl tyres till i wrote this thread but i do have a big heavy 3.2 on top of the wheels + im not no 6 stone pinup so yes feel confedent that i bought xl tyres

i looked at all of the above i have had toyo on my xr3i cab and thought they were lets say not very good
and Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tbh i didnt see them on their website but i also have to remember its going to cost me £10 a corner to get them fitted so im bang on budget

and tbh their around the same in a online review

Camskill are generally good, i use them regularly, EVO magazine have a test of very similar sized tyres at the moment, I am sure in the' wet emergency stop' the cheapest tyres meant the test car was still travelling at 20mph when the continentals had stopped it...........................

I use the newer ku39 tyre, They grip better than the older ku31, however they can wear out a bit quickly under hard driving.

Once they wear down to 3mm they really loose grip.

ku39 are the ones i got just had a look on my invoice how long is a bit quickly under hard driving
i only do a few mile a day no more than 10 mile a day and once or twice a mth go to manchester or stoke average around 8-10k miles a year as long as the tyres will last the year i will be happy

Yes, once tyres are down to 3mm there is a significant loss of performance on tyres of this profile (and the same with 225/45R17) and is very obvious in wet weather conditions

Agreed, as you have a 3.2 engine use XL tyres
They may not be essential, but in the event of a catastrophic tyre failure the other three will easily cope with the load placed on them
