    Default Wax oiled underside of vectra..........

    Hi people just wondered if anyone has wax oiled under side of there motor to protect from Rust in the arches and underside?
    Would this be worth while if your thinking about keeping the car long term??

    im guna taking my wheels off for a good clean, while im their im guna be washing out my arches, so i may as well seal them. dont plan on keeping it long term but im still guna do them, might as well while everythings off!

    Have you seen a rusty vectra C? Brake lines and springs, but I think you might be on a hiding to nothing.

    the brake lines on the vectra c corrode like made on the rear sin loads of mot faliures for it an leaking pipes
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    The underside of body is already waxed no point.

    I have bought a large can of Waxoyl and will be doing the underside of my signum in a month or so...

    Waxoyling the wheel arches will be a waste of time, as it's a high impact area and will eventually wash off. It is good at softening up hardening underseal though.

    Best thing for wheel arches is a coat of fresh underseal.

    I've cleaned and spray schutz my brake lines, especially at the rear before they start to rust. Well worth it as it takes a good few hours to make and replace them.

    I also agree that it would be a waste of time, as the car is already well protected. Brake line rusting like mad? Not noticed it on mine to a concerning level, and it's 7 years old and done over 180,000 miles....

    The body is galvanised isn't it? Not sure if the chassis is or not - anyone know?
