Default Which part number for 120 SRi track rod?

    I have a 53 plate 120 SRi (1.8L) needing new track/tie rods.
I have a part number for the tie rods, can't figure out which part I need
    for the track rods.

Either QR 3567 or QR 3298.

Anyone familiar with those Quinton Hazell parts?

    Regards
    Gerry

    Hi

QR3298S is for vehicles without lowered sports chassis
QR3567S is for vehicles WITH lowered sports chassis

SRI's have the lowered sports chassis, so you will need the QR3567S part. I would recommend doing the track rod ends too, part numbers for them are

    N/S QR3296S
    O/S QR3297S

    HTH !!

Haven't got a clue why the lowered sports chassis have a different tie rod, but they do, I only know this because I had to get them myself last month and had a ball ache trying to find somebody cheap enough. Turned out cheapest was vx on tradeclub, as they supplied the rod and boot as one, and most parts places sell them separate

I was planning to get the track rod ends done at the same time, I just needed to figure out which inner tie rod parts I needed.

When I went to order the parts, the chaps checked my VIN & said I need QR3298S as mine does not have sports chassis. I was surprised, I thought all SRi's had sports. The trim seems right, but it's a late build 2003, so maybe some 120 SRi's don't have it
