    Default inspec light

sorry if this is in wrong section anyway got my car serviced yesterday at local dealers and noticed tonight when you put key in ignition it says inspec above my mileage and stays there for about 10 seconds , never seen this before also when i take key out and press the reset button it no longer displays anything on display on rev counter but before service it would display how many miles to next service , car also got tech 2'd because management light came on a couple of weeks back but no codes where stored

They may have reset your service schedule from ecoflex to eco service on the Tech 2.

A bit naughty without your permission though.

ecoservice will be better... as the mileage will take you over 2 yrs to get to, and the car should have a service every 6 months if thats you're annual mileage..

low mileage a year is as much a killer for cars as too high a mileage... just because it says service every 20,000 between intervals doesn't mean thats always necessarily the best...the oil will absorb too much moisture if it doesn't get used to much..

    Angry

just noticed dealer has filled in my service book as follows
1st service , ecoservice1 18.776 miles but if i'm reading book right it should have its first service on ecoservice 1 at 1 year or 20.000 whichever comes first , so does this mean car should have had 1st service last year when it was 1 year old instead of yesterday when it was 2 years old, just thinking ahead to when i try and sell car and someone looks at service book and asks why it had first service at 2 years old instead of 1 year old sorry if i'm going on a bit guys
