    Default Dash air vent broken....help!

    Hi chaps, i recently clipped a mobile phone holder to the right air vent deflector but decided i didnt like it there so removed it, however i broke the air vent deflector and now it looks awful ...question is...is it much of a job replacing this part? or am i making a mountain out of a molehill? is there an `how to` on replacing this part?...any advice muchly appreciated

    my car is a 03 SXi 2.0 TDi

    It is one unit from what I remember, dials and all! If its a bit pricey just pop down to a local VX breakers.

    the trims under the vent just prise off...and then reveal the fixing screws for the vents..remove the unit and you can detach the vent..

    like Rushy said..you can try the dealers for a quote, or get one from a breakers..get facelift vents if you want chrome dials on it..

    Tip..

    it's cheaper to buy two centre vents than buy the centre and the outers on their own..

    Thanks for the help and advice, i have seen those chrome dials on a hire car which was delivered at work, they look cool.....now i wonder if i could.....erm, no better not ...i will replace the vent after fitting the rear passenger interior light (next project on my list)

    oh forgot to add...can anybody point me in the right direction for VX breakers online?...where i live those places are non existent...cheers
