    Default Led conversion gone wrong

Just finished my LED conversion by doing the Instrument Panel (dash), although looking good I have come accross a problem. I had disconnected the battery etc. before dismantaling and taking out the instrument panel, after installing for testing and reconnecting the battery all lit up and all seemed good, so everything was rebuild needles attached etc.however stupidly never disconnected battery and inserted key with dash unatached So I have the AIRBAG light and the SPANNER/CAR light on indicating a fault, Also the cruise control no longer works although otherwise the car drives just fine.

Any Input from anybody with tupence to throw at this one would be appriciated cheers.

Agreed - remove the battery for an hour or so,

usually sorts about 90% of electronic faults / glitches.

Got use of diagnostic kit and cleared the codes. however the Airbag light just appears again. Sometimes I start the car and it stays off for that running session however restarting the car will normally put it back on. I am thinking loose conection? but where. it says "left front airbag sensor" (NO Communication)

Got rid of the spanner light (Good news there) and the cruise control was down to bad contacts after taking it in and out forcefully (not a good idea as this can damage the C.I.M. Lucky me now fixed with the help of a paper clip to raise the contacts. Think I might do a "how to" on that and should never have followed the advice of pulling sharp and hard.

Thinkingthe airbag light then is something ive done possible loose conection under seats possibly and/or any other suggestions would be appreciated cheers.

left front airbag - is there one you have not connected properly above the glove box?

seat wiring issues tend to be more prominent in french and italian cars (fiat punto's - pah!!), where the seat position has been moved, and this has loosened either a wire, or the seat connector itself.

I havent connected or disconnected any airbags however are you saying there is a connection in the glovebox somewhere I should be checking?? Im trying to find where all connections could be as last night I went a few journeys with no airbag light, parked the car and switched off for 2 mins . Restarted the car and the Airbag light reappeared. Id appriciate all locations of any plugs in regards to the airbags to check they are seated correctly. thanks in advance..
