Plasticky clicking on engine start

Any ideas guys... It sounds like its coming from inside the dash area, as with all noises it's kinda hard to describe but it's sounds like a plastic component, probably about a 3 second burst of clicks when I start the car
I currently have a problem with the heater fan only working on setting 4 which I got the thermal fuse to repair that today, could this be connected??

could be one of the servo motors for the heater flaps, they loose teeth and start to make grunching noises

Would this happen if the fans were set in the off position when I turn the engine over?
Because the noise happens regardless of weather the fans are on or off

Shut the car off, lock the doors, let it go to sleep, open the car dont do nothing and listen to see if you can hear it...

So just sit in the car, engine off, lock doors, let it settle, unlock doors, and listen...
Does it matter where the fans are set?

no, because the ignition is off... When you open the car doors via remote and wake it up the servos move themselves to a certain position, i'm thinking its that you can hear... normally its a nicer noise but if its got teeth missing its kinda grating..

I'm pretty sure it's only when I start the engine
It's always:
Start engine
3-5 second wait
Then the noise for about 3 secs
But I will check thanks
