hi guys i am new to this site and would like to ask my first question,
i recently plugged my bosses computer into the car and it came up with line 2

engineering have said to me that it is the fuel filter,
i bought fuel/air/oil filters from ebay,
i cannot find the fuel filter on the car,

Fuel filter is clipped on to the side of the fuel tank. If you look under the rear o/s passenger door you'll see it.

if you have not run the cra then the system will not be pressurized... if you have bee running the engine in the last 30 mins it will have fuel pressure and squirt some in your face, i recommend safety glasses ( used a diving my mask lol on my second one) either way.. its not hard to do, but you will need to couple of small flat blade screw drivers to open the pipe connectors up...

No they are more of a push fit clip, watch what your doing they are not the easiest, well more of a fiddle. You can pick up a small plastic tool to undo them. As Nige says leave it about half an hour to let the pressure drop.

no mate,,, the filters have plastic clips on the each end, on pipes/fuel lines their are some clips the slide over these and lock on creating a nice tight seal.. When you get a look at them tomorrow you will see there are two slots, one on each side of the these clips, slide a flat blade screwdriver into the slots to push down the clips and the pips will then come off the filter.. It can be fiddly so take it easy and do not break the clips on the pipe connections.. jack up the car to give yourself plenty of clearance to do the job and you will be fine.

you can see the connectors on the filter in the pic here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-f...item3cc0b0b5cb

ah thanks dasarab,so that will be why vx try to sell the clips as well,
is this a job that a complete novice can attempt ,
the car is not playing up at the moment, but i feel that i must get this job done as i have only done 57824 milage ,not bad for an 8 year old motor
its my lack of detail to attention that it has suddenly caught me unaware,
a plank i know, we all know how difficult its been the last couple of years
